Winy Maas was in Sydney for the national architecture conference 'Praxis' in 2017 and Rachael interviewed him for Steel Profile magazine.

She was struck by how his knowledge and experience of Dutch landscape (water-scape?) and placemaking influence all of his projects, whether they are located in his native Holland or other countries around the world.

He said his mother was a florist and his father a gardener, so it seems that guess plants, flowers and landscaping are in his blood...
